🔧 1. The Repair Process & Quotations
📋 Estimates
Prices displayed on our website serve as standard estimates only.
A final quotation will be provided once the racket has been physically inspected in our workshop.
✔ Customer Authorization
In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), The Padel Tech will not exceed an approved quotation without the customer's express consent via email or WhatsApp.
⚠ Irreparable Rackets
If a racket is determined to be structurally unsafe or beyond repair, we will notify the customer.
A diagnostic assessment fee of R150 plus return shipping may apply if the customer requests the racket to be returned unrepaired.
🎨 2. Cosmetic Finish Disclaimer
Padel racket repairs primarily focus on restoring structural integrity and safe playability.
While The Padel Tech aims to achieve a clean and professional cosmetic finish, repaired areas may show minor visual differences from the original factory finish.
These may include:
-
🎨 Slight colour tone differences
-
🔍 Surface texture variations
-
🏷 Decal alignment differences
-
✨ Minor cosmetic imperfections
These cosmetic variations do not affect the structural strength or performance of the racket.
By authorising a repair, customers acknowledge that structural durability takes priority over factory-perfect cosmetics.
🧱 3. Repair Warranty
All structural carbon fibre repairs include a 90-day workmanship warranty.
This warranty covers:
-
Structural failure of the repaired area
-
Delamination caused by workmanship
-
Cracking directly related to the repair
⚠ This warranty applies only to the repaired section of the racket, not the entire frame.
The warranty is void if the racket shows evidence of:
-
Impact with walls, glass, floors, or other rackets
-
Misuse or negligent handling
-
Exposure to extreme heat (for example leaving rackets in vehicles)
⚠ 4. Pre-Existing Damage Disclaimer
Padel rackets submitted for repair may contain internal structural damage not visible prior to repair.
While The Padel Tech will repair the identified damaged area, we cannot guarantee the longevity of previously compromised structures outside the repaired section.
🛒 5. New, Refurbished & Pre-Owned Equipment
The Padel Tech sells:
-
🆕 New rackets
-
♻ Professionally refurbished rackets
-
🎾 Pre-owned rackets
🧱 Refurbished Rackets
Refurbished rackets undergo structural inspection, restoration, and playability testing.
Minor cosmetic variations may remain due to the refurbishment process.
⏱ Inspection Period
Refurbished and pre-owned rackets include a 7-day inspection period (unused only).
Once a racket has been used or played with, the sale is considered final.
📦 6. Shipping & Courier Liability
The Padel Tech carefully packages all products to ensure safe transport.
Once an order has been handed over to the courier, delivery is managed by the courier service.
If shipping damage occurs:
-
📸 Customers must report damage within 24 hours of delivery
-
📦 The courier claim process will apply
Unless additional shipping insurance is purchased, The Padel Tech's liability is limited to the value of the repair service or purchase price.
🧾 7. Abandoned Property
Rackets that remain uncollected or unpaid for 60 days after completion notification will be considered abandoned property.
The Padel Tech reserves the right to sell or dispose of abandoned rackets in order to recover labour and material costs.
🔄 8. Second-Hand Goods & Trade-Ins
The Padel Tech operates in compliance with the South African Second-Hand Goods Act.
🪪 Identity Verification
Customers selling or trading in rackets must provide:
-
A valid South African ID, or
-
A valid passport
✔ Ownership Declaration
By selling or trading in a racket, the customer confirms that:
-
They are the legal owner of the item
-
The item is not stolen or subject to any criminal investigation
🛡 9. Limitation of Liability
🎾 Playing Risks
Padel is a high-impact sport. Our repairs are designed to withstand normal ball impact during play.
The Padel Tech is not liable for:
