🔄 Warranty & Returns Policy

The Padel Tech – Repair • Refurbish • Resell

At The Padel Tech, we specialise in professional padel racket repair, refurbishment, and resale.
This policy protects both our customers and the integrity of our workmanship.

🛠 1. Structural Repair Warranty (90 Days)

All structural carbon fibre repairs include a 90-day workmanship warranty.

✅ What We Guarantee

The specific area repaired by us will not crack, delaminate, or structurally fail under normal playing conditions.

🔍 Warranty Procedure

If you suspect a repair-related issue:

🔎 The racket will be inspected in our workshop

If confirmed as a workmanship fault, we will, at our discretion:

🔧 Re-repair the affected area at no cost
or
💰 Refund the repair service value

⚠ Important:
This warranty applies only to the repaired section — not the entire racket.

♻ 2. Refurbished & Pre-Owned Rackets

All refurbished rackets are pre-owned items that have undergone professional restoration and quality inspection.

⏱ 7-Day Inspection Period (Unused Only)

Returns are accepted within 7 days only if:

📦 The racket is unused
🔄 Returned in the same condition as sold

🚫 Once played with, the sale is final.

🧱 30-Day Structural Warranty (Refurbished Only)

Covers hidden structural defects directly related to refurbishment workmanship.

🆕 3. New Racket Sales

All new rackets are:

📦 Factory-sealed
✨ Unused
🏷 Covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty (where applicable)

🔁 Returns on New Rackets

Accepted within 7 days only if:

📦 Unused
📦 Original packaging intact
📦 Returned in original condition

Manufacturer warranty claims are processed in line with the brand’s official policies.

🚫 4. What Is Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty (repair, refurbished, pre-owned, or new):

❌ New damage outside repaired/refurbished areas
❌ Impact damage (glass, walls, floors, racket contact)
❌ Misuse, neglect, or improper storage
❌ Heat exposure (e.g., vehicles)
❌ Normal wear and tear
❌ Consumables such as overgrips and frame protectors

⚠ Repairs and refurbishments do not make a racket indestructible.

❌ 5. Repair Service Cancellations

Repair orders may be cancelled before work begins.

Once any of the following has started, the service becomes non-refundable:

🧵 Carbon fibre lamination
🧪 Resin curing
🎨 Spray painting

This is due to material usage and labour already incurred.

✅ 6. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a product or proceeding with a repair service from The Padel Tech, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this policy.

📦 7. Shipping & Delivery

The Padel Tech carefully packages all products to ensure safe delivery.

Once an order has been handed over to the courier:

🚚 Delivery times are the responsibility of the courier service

📦 Customers must inspect parcels upon delivery

📸 Any shipping damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery

If shipping damage occurs, the claim must be processed with the courier provider.

The Padel Tech will assist customers with documentation where possible but cannot guarantee courier claim outcomes.

⚖️ 8. Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

Nothing in this policy limits or replaces any rights provided under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

Where applicable, customers remain entitled to any rights granted by law.

📦 9. Condition of Returned Products

Returned items must:

Be in the same condition as originally sold

Include any protective packaging or accessories

Not show signs of use or impact

If the item does not meet these conditions, the return may be declined.

💳 10. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

Refunds will be processed via the original payment method

Processing may take 5–10 business days depending on the payment provider.

🧑🔧 11. Repair Assessment Disclaimer

Very important for your repair business.

Sometimes rackets break internally after repair and customers blame the repair.

All rackets submitted for repair are inspected prior to work commencing.

Where structural damage extends beyond the visible repair area, customers will be informed before work begins.

The Padel Tech cannot guarantee the longevity of previously damaged rackets outside the repaired section.

🎾 13. Performance Expectations

Refurbished rackets are restored to ensure structural integrity and playability.
However, minor cosmetic variations may remain due to the nature of refurbishment.

These cosmetic differences do not affect play performance.

🎨 14. Cosmetic Finish Disclaimer

Due to the nature of structural repairs and refurbishment, cosmetic finishes may vary from the original factory appearance.

While The Padel Tech aims to achieve a clean and professional finish, repaired areas may show minor visual differences in:

🔍 15. Repair Inspection & Acceptance

Customers are encouraged to inspect their racket upon collection.

Any concerns regarding the repair or cosmetic finish must be raised within 48 hours of collection.

Once the racket has been used or played with after collection, the repair is considered accepted as satisfactory.

Surface smoothness

These cosmetic variations do not affect the structural integrity or performance of the racket.

By proceeding with a repair, customers acknowledge that repairs prioritise structural strength over factory-perfect cosmetics.
